The opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable documents, ensuring that all creditors are paid within the correct terms of invoice, in a cost effective matter. With a demonstrated track record of success in a similar position, you will be a proactive team member and have the ability to work autonomously. This role will be offered as a 9-month fixed-term contract to provide coverage for an employee on extended leave, set to commence in mid-November. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment while contributing meaningfully during a key period.
Key elements of the role will include
- Reconciliation of monthly creditors to statements
- Liaising with creditors when account details are incorrect or credits have been raised
- Confirming that the payable records have been authorised and entered accurately
- Making sure that invoices are coded to the correct general ledger codes
- Ensuring end of month deadlines are met and invoices are entered correctly
- Special projects when required
What you’ll need to succeed
- At least 5-7 years demonstrated experience within an Accounts Payable processing role, preferably within the FMCG industry
- You will be a proactive team member and be comfortable working autonomously
- Microsoft Dynamic AX experience would be advantageous
